My love of all things vintage began long before my wedding. My father was an avid WWII enthusiast and, having served in the RAF, he loved taking us to vintage events. I grew up surrounded by history, nostalgia and wonderfully interesting things from the past — and I think that passion stayed with me.

 

A love of vintage, a passion for beautiful details, and a little story behind it all…

I’ve always had a soft spot for anything vintage — beautiful crockery, rustic accessories, original props and, of course, a lovely afternoon tea!

Our wedding, where it all began…

My journey with Sally B Vintage actually began when I got married eight years ago. I wanted to create a beautiful, relaxed vintage feel for our wedding, but I found it surprisingly difficult to find vintage crockery and accessories to hire. So, rather than give up on my idea, I started collecting my own.

And, as often happens when you love vintage… one piece quickly became many!

I went on to have my own theatre company, where I became rather fond of collecting original vintage props for our productions. I could never quite bring myself to part with them once the curtains had closed!

Before long, our house was filled with vintage treasures. Friends and family began telling me, “You should hire these out!” I loved the idea, but while I was working as a secondary school drama teacher and freelance director, there simply wasn’t enough time.

Then, after retiring from teaching, I thought: why not? Now is the perfect time to turn my passion into something special.

And so, Sally B Vintage was born!

I’m passionate about beautiful details and believe it’s often the little touches that make an occasion truly memorable. Whether you’re planning a relaxed afternoon tea, an intimate celebration, a wedding or a larger event, I’d love to help you create something that feels personal, beautiful and completely you.

Whatever the occasion, my aim is simple — to take care of the details, add a little vintage magic, and help you relax and enjoy every moment.
